Our U.S. Territories program caters to nurses who are citizens of U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, and American Samoa) and want to become an RN in the states. We help you pass the NCLEX, cover your licensing costs, assist with the relocation process, and much more!
Interested candidates must possess a BSN-ADN, be bilingual, and be committed to studying for and passing the NCLEX. Nurses may apply without experience but must have graduated within the last two years.

Since 1998, Interstaff has recruited international nurses to work in the United States. The Processing Officers at Interstaff assist nurses with their U.S. RN process from start to finish. We offer Visa sponsorship and we place our nurses in hospital facilities across the US. You may immigrate to the U.S. with a lawfully-wedded spouse and any children under the age of 21. We handle their immigration process as well and you all receive green cards/U.S. permanent residency. You can view the steps of our process by clicking here.

Applicants must be a Registered Nurse (both BSN and Nursing Diploma accepted), currently work full-time in an acute care inpatient hospital with 100+ beds, have 1 year of current bedside experience, have an active nursing license and an updated CV, and speak strong English. We do NOT require applicants to pass the NCLEX or IELTS before applying to our agency.
If you do not meet all of the basic requirements, you may proceed with your application once they are met.
Please note that although we appreciate your previous experience, our clients require current experience in an acute care inpatient hospital.
We have three steps in our application process, and the timeline can range from two weeks to one month depending on how long it takes an applicant to complete each step and our interview availability.
- The very first step is a general application to see if you're a Registered Nurse and if you're currently working in an approved hospital.
- The second step is to complete a pre-qualification form where we simply ask for your credentials (CV & nursing license).
- The last step is your clinical interview with a team member from our Programs department.
No—passing these exams is not a prerequisite for our program. We offer a free, three-month NCLEX review to help prepare for the exam and the IELTS is taken right before filing for immigration.
We do not! Nurses will incur a few costs throughout the process (CES Report fee, IELTS fee, etc.), but we do not charge a processing fee. We also don't do any paycheck withholdings.
For international RNs (not Canadian & Mexican citizens), we previously quoted a timeframe of 20-24 months for non-NCLEX & non-IELTS passers. And nurses who passed the NCLEX and IELTS, and whose country's immigration status was "current" experienced a processing time of 9-12 months. However, due to COVID-19, we can't give an accurate timeframe at this moment.

We place nurses in hospitals all across the United States. Placement locations depend on the available openings at our hospital facilities, a nurse's related work experience, family dynamics, and many other factors. Our team is dedicated to finding the right fit for our nurses!
Of course! Your spouse and any unmarried children under the age of 21 may deploy alongside you to the U.S. Interstaff even handles their immigration process. You will just be responsible for their Visa fees (Interstaff covers yours).
