At Interstaff, our commitment to the success of international nurses extends far beyond the end of an employment agreement. We believe in creating a foundation for both personal and professional growth, ensuring our nurses have the tools they need for lifelong success in the United States.

By offering comprehensive support, guidance, and resources during their transition to life in the US, we aim to empower every nurse to thrive long after their time with us. Hear from some of the incredible nurses who built on their experiences with Interstaff and achieved extraordinary milestones in their careers:

Kuldeep S.: Building a Legacy

When Kuldeep (pictured above), a Registered Nurse from India, began his career in the U.S. with Interstaff, he dreamed of providing a better future for his family. He went on to make that dream a reality. After completing his contract with us, Kuldeep achieved numerous personal and professional milestones.

“I have bought my own five-bedroom house. I became Director at large with the Arizona Nurses Association. I worked as a Clinical Instructor at Arizona State University, and I am continuing to work at a hospital in Phoenix. My wife passed the NCLEX and became an RN, so there are two RNs in the family now. I will always be grateful to Interstaff for helping me move to the U.S.,” he shares.

Edmon R.: Pursuing Diverse Opportunities

Edmon, an RN from the Philippines, has used his time with Interstaff to launch into a dynamic and rewarding career that combines caregiving with leadership and education.

“After my contract with Interstaff, I did travel nursing for a year. I also worked as a part-time home care nurse under another agency. Furthermore, I got accepted for an adjunct professor position at two universities. I am handling the simulations, laboratories, and clinical rotations. Early this year, 2024, I was appointed to the CMSRN Item Writer Committee for the certification board under MSNCB for three years. Currently, I am the RN Operation Specialist for the medical service line at a university in Colorado,” Edmon says.

This remarkable trajectory showcases the kind of diverse opportunities available to nurses who partner with us.

Vivian C.G.: The Freedom to Choose

Vivian, originally from Puerto Rico, took her experience with Interstaff and turned it into a versatile and flexible career that fits her goals.

“I was originally placed in a hospital in Louisiana, and after I completed my contract with Interstaff, I did a travel contract with another agency. I was placed in Connecticut, where I worked on multiple nursing floors at two different hospitals for almost five months. Now, I am about to start working as a Float-pool/PRN position at several facilities in Shreveport, Louisiana.”

Vivian’s story underscores how the skills and confidence she gained during her time with Interstaff prepared her for diverse nursing roles and gave her control over her career path.

Maria R.K.: From a Smooth Start to High-Tech Leadership

Maria, an international nurse from the Philippines, joined Interstaff in 2012. She recalls with gratitude how Interstaff helped her settle into her new life in Texas.

“Interstaff played a huge part in my nursing career in the USA. If I’m not mistaken, I was the first international nurse from the Philippines to work close to the Interstaff main office in Sugar Land, Texas. The Interstaff team ensured that I had a smooth transition to Texas, and I am grateful for that.”

Since her time with us, Maria has grown into an accomplished perioperative nurse specializing in advanced robotics surgeries. She has worked in both a Level 1 trauma center and the largest cancer center in the U.S., gaining expertise in general, gynecology, urology, and robotics cases.
